This Classic Range Rover in Lincoln Green has only covered 40,000 miles from new!!! It is original and is in very good condition for its year.
Manufactured in May 1979, it was sent to Holland and has since made its way back to the UK in 1982 and registered on a 'Y' Plate with a certificate from the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust to authenticate this. The original stickers are still under the bonnet.
Powered by the 3.5 V8 engine it comes with a 4 speed manual gearbox with the rare overdrive option. The engine runs like new and pulls very well. The manual gearbox changes up and down easily. The overdrive works without any problems.

The car was last on the road in 1995 and has been stored since then. A new 12 Month MOT has just been put on the vehicle.
It comes with the rare air-con option. The compressor engages when the air-con is switched on but doesn't get any colder so i would think a re-gas is needed, something that shouldn’t cost much more than £50.
Body work is in great condition, it was ziebarted (a rust proofing) when new. The panels are very straight with the odd dink here and there. The A posts and the tops of the rear quarter panels have some bubbling on them. The tailgate is showing some minor rust on the inside but apart from that it is very clean.
The interior has a rip about 3 inches long on the rear seat and a few nicks on the front seats. The headlining is also sagging in several places. There are some marks on the top of the dash and the heater controls are very stiff.
As mentioned before it is a very straight original car for its 30 years. It’s getting harder and harder to find genuine 2 door Classic Range Rovers these days, go on have a look around and we bet you can’t find many!
If you want to have a project that’s not going to be like painting the Fourth Road Bridge this could be the one for you.
If this isn't the classic Range Rover Classic you are looking for, how about one of these?
